PL&TN: day 2

I'm in the middle of a stop-motion shadow puppet film, which I began last winter, and had to abandon for a while, first because I thought I had arthritis and couldn't grip anything with my hands for a few weeks, and so I wasn't able to use a scalpel, and then because I became involved with a couple of projects that just made my head hurt and I stopped wanting to be an artist for a while.  However, the doctor told me I just had very low vitamin D, and so after some pills, the help of my assistant, Taylor, and some voodoo . . .

. . . I've recently become myself again and began working seriously again on the film since yesterday, which is why I'm calling this day 2, and which is why I am writing about it now - because I need to have someone to report to, or I'll never finish it, and so I going to document it on here.  I'm not sure how much I can say about the film at this stage, which is why I'm using an acronym instead of its actual title . . . but also with the producers living in another country they can use this blog to keep track of my activities and see that the film is finally on its way (hello, John . . . )  If you are someone who has been coming to see my live shows recently we might not be performing for a couple of months while I get on with this, but as an example of how out of practice I've become with a scalpel: I cut myself TWICE today already:

And here are some reference pictures from my sketchbook from today:

and the film at the top of this I made in the park trying to document some pigeons eating crumbs.
